    Interesting indeed. I am currently with BMO Investor Line and can't trade commodities or Forex and commissions are high. I know you've recommended Interactive Broker in the past. Any idea what is meant by the requirement:"Prior execution of 100 or more trades (any product)." in order to open an account with them? I called them but did not get a clear answer.

    It means that you must be a fairly experienced trader who has executed 100 or more trades before.
